Neem Oil Spray

My indoor garden is blooming well, pest and insects free, I rarely go for chemical insecticides or pesticides for my garden plants and I guess most of the garden hobbyists want to keep their garden chemical-free but when it comes to pest and diseases than they get confused. However, as long as I have experienced in my garden plants do well after neem oil spray on those cute plants. It’s completely organic and can be made in the home with a basic knowledge of the composition and materials required.

Neem Oil Spray

Materials Required are
  • Neem oil ( easily available in the market or you can purchase online)
  • Liquid soap
  • Water
  • Spray bottle
Procedure to make Neem Oil Spray
  • Take one-liter lukewarm water in a spray bottle.
  •  Pour 10 drops of liquid soap, you can use Dettol handwash.
  • Now pour 5 ml of neem oil in the spray bottle.
  • Mix this mixture thoroughly inside the bottle for at least 2 minutes.

Important point to remember 

  • Before applying to all plants, perform a patch test to check the concentration of your neem oil spray.
  • In this method, spray your neem oil spray mix on a particular leaf of your plant and wait for 24 hours to see any abrupt changes in the leaf.
  • If you see burn in your leaf that means you need to dilute the neem oil spray solution.
  • To dilute add more water and perform the same patch test again.
  • If it shows no abrupt changes then you can use your neem oil spray on plants.
How to Spray
  • Spray on foliar parts of plants, you can also spray it on the soil.
  • Do not wet the plants completely.
  • Take some precautions while spraying because neem oil spray can cause irritation in your eyes if it comes in direct contact with your eyes.
