STEP 1: Open Agriculture Review’s calendula seed packet carefully and soak the seeds in water for an hour.

STEP 2: Prepare germination potting mix with 40% cow dung compost + 40% cocopeat + 20% garden soil. You can also buy our germination potting mix for effective results.

STEP 3: Fill the germination tray with the prepared or purchased potting mix. Make sure to have at least 1 drainage hole at the bottom of the germination tray.

STEP 4: Prepare 1/2 centimeter holes at the center of every cell in the germination tray. Sow 1 to 2 seeds in each hole and cover the hole with the potting mix. You do not need to water immediately after sowing if you have already watered before sowing seeds, if not, then water gently after sowing of calendula seeds.

STEP 5: Do not disturb the location of the pot and keep it in indirect sunlight. Check the moisture of the soil every day and if it seems drying, then water gently. Do not overload your germination tray with too much watering. Water so that the soil in the tray remains a little moist.

STEP 6: Within 7 to 14 days calendula seeds will start germinating. Once your seedlings reach 2 to 4 true leaf stages they can be transplanted into a larger pot.
