How To Use Onion Peels For Plants?

You can either use this organic liquid fertilizer along with irrigation water or in the form of spray. But, before applying dilute 100 to 200 ml of this liquid fertilizer in one litre of water. Apply according to the needs of the plant.

        I have several lime seedlings that I grew from meyer sour lemon and they are about 3 to 6” tall now but not have grown further for the last 45 days, what do you think is the problem?

          Meyer lemon generally grows up to 6 to 10 feet high within a period of 2 to 3 years, so it grows moderately, however the growth slows down with the onset of winter and then gradually increase growing rapidly with the onset of spring. You should use a nitrogen rich fertilizer such as tea leaf compost to fertilize your lemon plant thrice in a year to promote good growth. Avoid using phosphorus and potassium rich fertilizers in lemon plant during early days. Look for abnormal signs such as yellowing of leaves or curling, if they are present, treat them as soon as possible.

      Yes Sweet lime peel can also be used in the garden, best way is to decompose mosambi peel before using. However as it is acidic so adding frequently should be avoided but you can always add peels in the compost bin. You can also spread pieces of mosambi peels around your plant to keep pests away.
