What To Do When Monstera Leaves Start Drooping

Monstera plants are a popular choice among indoor plant enthusiasts.Iit can be disheartening to notice that Monstera leaves are drooping.

However, if you notice early signs of leaves drooping, then following these guidelines can help you in protecting your plants. 

Watering Routine

They love a little moist soil & high humidity. That's why improper watering is a common culprit behind drooping Monstera leaves.

Stick your finger about an inch deep into the soil—if it feels dry, it's time to water, but if it's still damp, hold off on watering.

Make sure to have drainage holes at the bottom of your pot. Waterlogging can cause root rot ehich results in drooping of leaves.

Monstera plants grow well under bright indirect sunlight. Insufficient light or sudden changes in lighting conditions can cause leaves to droop.

Dry air can lead to drooping leaves & other issues. Increase humidity by misting the leaves regularly, placing a tray of water near the plant, or using a humidifier.

Pests infestation can also cause leaves drooping in monstera. Check presence of mealybugs or spider mites. Use insecticidal soap solution to control pests.
