Gladiolus is one of the major cut flower crops in national and international markets. It is a perennial cormous flowering plant that blooms from October to March.
The United States of America, Netherlands, France, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Brazil, Australia and India are the major producers of gladiolus in the world.
From 2021 to 2022 around 249,180 tonnes of cut value & 10,460 tonnes of loose value gladiolus were produced in India. These are the largest gladiolus producing states.
Haryana is the tenth largest gladiolus-producing state in India. From 2021-2022 around 200 tonnes of gladiolus was produced in Haryana.
Himachal Pradesh is the ninth largest gladiolus-producing state in India. From 2021-2022 around 550 tonnes of gladiolus was produced in Himachal Pradesh.
Uttarakhand is the eighth largest gladiolus-producing state in India. From 2021-2022 around 5,830 tonnes of gladiolus was produced in Uttarakhand.
Orissa is the seventh largest gladiolus-producing state in India. From 2021-2022 around 7,560 tonnes of gladiolus was produced in Orissa.
Madhya Pradesh is the sixth largest gladiolus-producing state in India. From 2021-2022 around 7,600 tonnes of gladiolus was produced in Madhya Pradesh.
Karnataka is the fifth largest gladiolus-producing state in India. From 2021-2022 around 8,400 tonnes of gladiolus was produced in Karnataka.
Assam is the fourth largest gladiolus-producing state in India. From 2021-2022 around 12,140 tonnes of gladiolus was produced in Assam.
Uttar Pradesh is the third largest gladiolus-producing state in India. From 2021-2022 around 46,960 tonnes of gladiolus was produced in Uttar Pradesh.
West Bengal is the second largest gladiolus-producing state in India. From 2021-2022 around 55,040 tonnes of gladiolus was produced in West Bengal.
Chattisgarh is the largest gladiolus-producing state in India. From 2021-2022 around 115,360 tonnes of gladiolus was produced in Chattisgarh.
