India

India is the largest producer of ginger in the world. Globally around 1,109,000 tonnes of ginger is produced in India. It is followed by Nigeria, China, Indonesia, etc.

Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh is the largest ginger producing state in India. From 2021 to 2022 around 692,110 tonnes (31.18%) of ginger was produced in Madhya Pradesh. 

Karnataka

Karnataka is the second largest ginger producing state in India. From 2021 to 2022 around 306,340 tonnes (13.30%) of ginger was produced in Karnataka. 

Assam 

Assam is the third largest ginger producing state in India. From 2021 to 2022 around 170,730 tonnes (7.69%) of ginger was produced in Assam. 

Maharashtra

Maharashtra is the fourth largest ginger producing state in India. From 2021 to 2022 around 164,230 tonnes (7.40%) of ginger was produced in Maharashtra. 

West Bengal

West Bengal is the fifth largest ginger producing state in India. From 2021 to 2022 around 135,070 tonnes (6.09%) of ginger was produced in West Bengal. 

Orissa

Orissa is the sixth largest ginger producing state in India. From 2021 to 2022 around 128,010 tonnes (5.77%) of ginger was produced in Orissa. 

Gujarat

Gujarat is the seventh largest ginger producing state in India. From 2021 to 2022 around 109,120 tonnes (4.92%) of ginger was produced in Gujarat. 

Sikkim

Sikkim is the eighth largest ginger producing state in India. From 2021 to 2022 around 72,710 tonnes (3.28%) of ginger was produced in Sikkim. 

Kerala

Kerala is the ninth largest ginger producing state in India. From 2021 to 2022 around 72,700 tonnes (3.28%) of ginger was produced in Kerala. 

Meghalaya

Meghalaya is the tenth largest ginger producing state in India. From 2021 to 2022 around 67,670 tonnes (3.05%) of ginger was produced in Meghalaya.
