In the world, the floriculture market was valued at US $54.59 Billion in 2022. Netherlands, Germany, France, etc. are the largest flower producing countries.
India is also one of the major flower producing country in the world. Flower crops such as rose, gerbera, gladiolus, marigolds, etc. are cultivated in India.
Orissa is the tenth largest flower producing state in India with production of around 65,130 tonnes of flower.
Assam is the ninth largest flower producing state in India with production of around 93,380 tonnes of flower.
Uttar Pradesh is the eighth largest flower producing state in India with production of around 119,390 tonnes of flower.
Gujarat is the seventh largest flower producing state in India with production of around 189,340 tonnes of flower.
Chattisgarh is the sixth largest flower producing state in India with production of around 230,730 tonnes of flower. Primary crops are marigold, gladiolus, tuberose, etc.
Andhra Pradesh is the fifth largest flower producing state in India with production of around 279,850 tonnes of flower. Primary crops are gladiolus, lily, jasmine, aster etc.
West Bengal is the fourth largest flower producing state in India with production of around 293,240 tonnes of flower. Primary crops are rose, marigold, orchids etc.
Madhya Pradesh is the third largest flower producing state in India with production of around 350,880 tonnes of flower. Primary crops are Tuberose, rose, marigold, etc.
Karnataka is the second largest flower producing state in India with production of around 517,620 tonnes of flower. Primary crops are rose, anthurium, gerbera, etc.
Tamil Nadu is the largest flower producing state in India with production of around 521,210 tonnes of flower. Primary crops are Jasmine, rose, crossandra, etc.
