If you are looking for vegetable plants that you can grow from seeds from September to November, then you can start by sowing tomato seeds in your garden.
In India, you can sow tomato seeds many times a year. The main sowing months are September, October, November, March & April.
Begin by purchasing seeds from local stores or you can also order our tomato seeds with a higher germination rate, the link is given at the end of the story.
To get a good germination rate, you need to prepare an ideal potting mix by mixing 40% cocopeat + 40% cow dung manure + 20% river sand. Do not sow seeds in clayey soil.
Fill the germination tray with the potting mix. Sow 1 to 2 seeds in each block and cover with a thin layer of potting mix. Apply water gently, and from the bottom portion, if possible.
Keep the germination tray under bright indirect sunlight. Do not let the potting soil dry out completely but do not overwater. Avoid changing the position of the tray every day.
Tomato seeds will germinate within 5 to 10 days. Once the seedling reaches 2 to 4 true leaves stage, then you can transplant them to a bigger pot for growth and development.
