There are around 20,000 species of bee in the world & according to an estimate, there are approximately 2 trillion bees in the world. And they are important for humans & the environment.
We all depend on bees for our environment. Humans get honey, bee venom, bee wax, propolis and pollen.
In traditional medicines, honey bee products have been used to treat eye diseases, asthama, tuberculosis, constipation, fatigue, etc.
In recent research, it has been found that melittin found in bee venom can be used to kill cancer cells. Therefore, it has huge potential.
Bees are the most common pollinators. It means they are responsible for reproduction of billions of plant on this planet.
Raw honey is considered as a super food. Honey helps to boost immunity, and has anti-bacterial & anti-viral properties.
But, due to excessive use of pesticides, air pollution & global warming, bees population is declining on our planet.
In United States of America, around 45% bee colonies vanished last year. It can lead to serious consequences as they are the most common pollinator on this planet.
