You can select paper cups for sowing sunflower seeds. Make a 1/2 centimeter drainage hole at the bottom of each cup.
To plant sunflower seeds, prepare potting mix with 40% cocopeat + 40 + leaf compost or dung manure + 20% river sand.
The best time to sow or plant sunflower seeds is from January to April. However, you can also sow till end of May.
To sow seeds, fill cups with potting mix, leave an inch space at the top. Sow 2 to 3 seeds in each cup and cover them with thin layer of potting mix.
Apply water gently after sowing seeds. Keep checking daily, if soil seems dry apply a little water. Do not overwater.
Till your seedlings reaches 2 to 4 true leaves stage keep your germination cups under shade or indirect sunlight.
