What To Plant In The Fall

Beetroot

You can start sowing of beetroot seeds in sandy loam soil at 1 centimetres depth from August to November. Apply water after sowing of seeds. 

Cauliflower

Fall is the best time to start planting cauliflowers. Sow seeds in potting mix made by mixing 50% cocopeat + 50% compost from September to November. Water immediately after sowing. 

Radish

Radish is a root vegetable plant that you can plant in the fall. Sow seeds from November to December directly in well drained sandy loam soil having good organic matter. 

Spinach

If you love green leafy vegetable then planting spinach seeds from September to November in potting mix prepared by mixing 60% normal garden soil + 40%  organic manure.

Lettuce

Lettuce is another great healthy leafy vegetable that you can start planting in late fall. Sow seeds in 40% garden soil + 20% cocopeat + 40% compost at 1/4th inches depth

Pansy

If you love having flowering plants in your garden then start planting pansy in potting mix made by 40% garden soil + 20% cocopeat + 30% any organic compost + 10% river sand

Petunia

October to November is the best time to start planting petunia in the garden. There are also lot of variety of petunias present in the market and you will surely love growing them.  

Aster

In potting mix prepared by mixing 40% garden soil + 20+ river sand + 40% any organic compost you can start planting aster during fall season.
