Also known as inchplant (Tradescantia zebrina) is a wonderful creeping plant that you can grow in hanging pots by following these important tips.
They are native to both tropical and temperate climate and you can grow this plant easily just protect them from freezing cold.
Well draining soil rich in organic matter is good for this plant. Prepare potting mix with 40% garden soil + 30% organic compost + 10% river snad + 10% perlite.
Bright indirect sunlight for at least 6 to 8 hours daily is good for wandring jew plant. Avoid keeping them in low light condition.
Keep the soil evenly moist but avoid waterlogging in rhe pot. Water when top layer of soil seems dry, you can even grow this plant in water.
From spring to fall fertilize with one handful of leaf compost once after every 30 days. You can also use tea leaf compost.
You can propagate wandering jew plant by taking 4 inches stem cuttings and keeping them in water or planting them in soil.
If you wish to grow wandering jew then hanging pots is one of the best choice, they look quite wonderful in hanging pots.
