China is the largest tobacco-producing country in the world. It is followed by India, Brazil, Indonesia, the United States, etc. Here are the top 5 tobacco-producing Indian states.
West Bengal is the fifth-largest tobacco-producing state in India. From 2016 to 2017, around 26,650 metric tons of tobacco were produced in West Bengal.
Karnataka is the fourth-largest tobacco-producing state in India. From 2016 to 2017, around 65,000 metric tons of tobacco were produced in Karnataka.
Uttar Pradesh is the third-largest tobacco-producing state in India. From 2016 to 2017, around 119,000 metric tons of tobacco were produced in Uttar Pradesh.
Andhra Pradesh is the second-largest tobacco-producing state in India. From 2016 to 2017, around 177,000 metric tons of tobacco were produced in Andhra Pradesh.
Gujarat is the largest tobacco-producing state in India. From 2016 to 2017, around 375,000 metric tons of tobacco were produced in Gujarat.
