Passion fruit is a tropical fruit that contains a pulpy and aromatic fruit filled with numerous edible seeds. The fruit flavour is a delightful blend of sweet & tangy.
According to FAO, India is the largest producer of passion fruit in the world. Around 57,370 tonnes of passion fruit was produced in India from 2021-2022.
Sikkim is the fifth largest passion fruit producing state in India. Around 60 tonnes of passion fruit (Contribution: 0.10%) was produced in Sikkim from 2021-2022.
Kerala is the fourth largest passion fruit producing state in India. Around 2,110 tonnes of passion fruit (Contribution: 3.68%) was produced in Kerala from 2021-2022.
Mizoram is the third largest passion fruit producing state in India. Around 2,230 tonnes of passion fruit (Contribution: 3.89%) was produced in Mizoram from 2021-2022.
Nagaland is the second largest passion fruit producing state in India. Around 15,240 tonnes of passion fruit (Contribution: 26.56%) was produced in Nagaland from 2021-2022.
Manipur is the largest passion fruit producing state in India. Around 37,730 tonnes of passion fruit (Contribution: 65.76%) was produced in Manipur from 2021-2022.
