The United States of America is the largest almond producing country in the world. Every year around 2,002,742 tonnes of almond is produced in the United States. 

Total Production

Around 3,214,522 tonnes of almond was produced in the world from 2021-2022. Here is the list of top almond producing states in the United States. 

California

California is the largest almond producing state in America. It contributes for 80% of the global  almond production which is around 2.8 billion pounds. 

Arizona

Arizona is the second largest almond producing state in the United States. However, almonds cultivated in Arizona only contributes around 2% of the total production in America. 

Texas

Texas is the third largest almond producing state in the United States. However, almonds cultivated in Texas only contributes around 1% of the total production in America.   

Georgia

Georgia is the fourth largest almond producing state in the United States. However, almonds cultivated in Georgia only contributes for less than 1% of the total production in America.    

Michigan

Michigan is the fifth largest almond producing state in the United States. Only a small proportion of almonds in the United States are cultivated in Michigan.
