India is the third largest black pepper producing country in the world. Every year around 91,630 tonnes of black pepper is produced in India.
Karnataka is the largest black pepper producing state in India. From 2021 to 2022 around 55,640 tonnes of black pepper (60.46% of the total production) was produced in Karnataka.
Kerala is the second largest black pepper producing state in India. From 2021 to 2022 around 30,000 tonnes of black pepper (32.60% of the total production) was produced in Kerala.
Assam is the third largest black pepper producing state in India. From 2021 to 2022 around 2,810 tonnes of black pepper (3.05% of the total production) was produced in Assam.
Tamil Nadu is the fourth largest black pepper producing state in India. From 2021 to 2022 around 1,310 tonnes of black pepper (1.42% of the total production) was produced in Tamil Nadu.
