Start Growing These Vegetables In February

Okra

Soak okra seeds in water for 24 to 48 hours in dark, and then sow them in well draining, fertile soil. Seeds will germinate within a week. Make sure to avoid overwatering. 

Eggplant

If you want to get early harvest in early summers, then start sowing eggplant seeds in February. Sow seeds in sandy loam soil, seeds will take 7 to 12 days to germinate. 

Radish

They are fast growing root vegetables that prefer cool season to grow. If you sow radish seeds in February then, you will be able to harvest in March. 

Bitter Gourd

Germinating bittergourd seeds is really a challenging task for gardeners but once they germinate then, you can very easily get a good harvest. 

Cucumbers

You can germinate cucmber seeds in February for summer harvest. In sandy loam soil sow seeds 1 centimetres deep, cover with soil & apply water. 

Spinach

Within 2 months spinach gets ready for harvesting. And they are quite easy to grow, broadcast seeds on the soil, cover with thin layer of soil and apply water. 

Chilli

To add spicy flvours in your food start sowing chilli seeds in germination tray filled with 50% cocopeat + 50% vermicompost. 

Watermelon

If you want to enjoy delicious and juicy watermelons from your garden, then February is the best month to start sowing seeds. Make sure that the soil is well draining.
