Start Growing These Vegetables From June To July

Introduction

If you are thinking to set-up a summer vegetable garden, then start sowing seeds of these vegetable plants from June to July in well drained, sandy loam soil.

Okra

Start growing okra from seeds from June to July. Soak seeds in water for 24 hours before sowing in sandy loam soil. Within 20-25 days they will become ready for transplantation.

Onion

You can grow onion in June. Sow seeds 1.5 centimetre deep and at 20 centimetres distance from each other to get the best growth of bulbs. 

Bottle Gourd

Scrap pointed end & soak seeds of bottle gourd in water for 48 hours, Wrap in a banana leaf and keep in dark room for 3 days. Then sow seeds in sandy loam soil.

Tomato

You can start growing tomatoes from seed or purchase seedlings from a local nursery. Make sure to plant them in a sunny spot in your garden, and water them regularly.

Cauliflower

They can be easily grown from seeds. Sow seeds in germination tray and once seedlings reaches 2 to 4 true leaves stage, transplant them in bigger pot. 

Bitter Gourd

They  are nutritious vegetable plant that you can grow by following the same process as sowing bottle gourd seeds. They are one of the easiest to grow vegetable plant.
