Spirulina, a nutrient-dense microalgae, has gained significant attention for its exceptional health benefits & potential to combat malnutrition.
It thrives in alkaline waters & receives energy through photosynthesis. Test the pH of your water source & adjust it using baking soda, etc.
Spirulina requires a nutrient-rich growing medium. Purchase a premade spirulina culture medium to create an ideal environment..
Start with a culture size of approximately 10% of the total volume of your cultivation container & dilute it in the growing medium.
Monitor & regulate the temperature of the cultivation environment to keep it within the range of 30-35 degrees Celsius. Stir the culture gently twice a day.
It requires supply of essential nutrients. You may need to supplement the culture with specific mineral salts or other nutrients.
After 3 to 5 days, the spirulina will reach its peak density. Use a fine mesh sieve to separate the spirulina biomass from the cultivation medium.
