by aditya abhishek
Observed on July 1st every year, this day recognizes the farmers and their invaluable contribution to the state's economy, food security, and overall development.
From the vast stretches of fertile plains to the hilly regions of the Western Ghats, Maharashtra's agricultural landscape is as varied as it is vibrant.
On this day, the state government, along with various agricultural organizations come together to honour & appreciate the efforts of the farming community.
Farmers' conventions, exhibitions, workshops, and seminars are organized to disseminate knowledge regarding modern & sustainable agriculture.
Various soil types are found in Mahrashtra, among which major types are black cotton soil, alluvial soils, red & yellow soils, laterite soils, saline soils, etc.
Jowar, millets, cotton and sugarcane are the major crops of Maharashtra. It is the leading producer of cotton, Jowar, Arhar, etc. in the country.
If you want to celebrate Mahrashtra Krushi Day, then send your warm wishes to farmers, join online seminars to educate about farming, or plan a tour to a farm.
