Celosia, also known as Woolflowers or Cockscombs is a genus of edible flowering plants that you can grow in your garden by following these guidelines.
They can grow well in warm temperate to sub-tropical climate where temperature ranges from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius during growing season.
Well draining soil, rich in organic matter is ideal for Celosia. Prepare potting mix with 50% soil + 40% compost + 10% river sand.
You can keep Celosia plant in places where they can receive bright direct to indirect sunlight for at least 6 hours in a day.
Keep the soil little moist, but not soggy. Apply water only when the top layer of the soil becomes dry. Avoid waterlogging in the pot.
Once after every 14 days you can apply one handful of tea leaf compost along with a tea spoon of bonemeal to promote growth & flowering in the plant.
