How To Grow Lettuce

February to April, & September to November is the best time for sowing lettuce seeds. 

Growing Season

loose, well drained soil that is rich in organic matter with soil pH around 6.0 to 7.0 is ideal.

Soil

Prepare potting mix with 40% garden soil + 20% cocopeat + 40%compost & fill in 8 to 10 inches sized pot.

Potting Mix

Broadcast the seeds on the soil or sow them at desired distance at depth of 1/4 inches.

Propagation

5 to 6 hours of full to partial sunlight is good for growing lettuce.

Sunlight

Keep the soil evenly moist but avoid waterlogging or soggy soil. 

Watering

Apply two to four handful of any organic manure like vermi-compost, or leaf manure after every 20 days.

Fertilizers

when they grow to about 3 to 6 inches long, then you can start harvesting leaves again & again.
