By aditya abhishek

Coriander is an annual herb which is commonly found in every kitchen around the world because of the amazing flavour & value it adds to our food.

To get fresh organic coriander directly from your kitchen garden you can start sowing seeds from October to November

Start by soaking coriander seeds in water for 48 hours. Then prepare potting mix with 1 part cocopeat and 2 part organic compost

In a tray or pot filled with potting mix  broadcast coriander seeds, and cover with a thin layer of potting mix, then apply water gently, make sure to have drainage holes.

Keep the tray or pot under semi shade sunlight and keep applying little water whenever potting soil seems drying. Make sure to have drainage holes. It will take around 20 days.

Once all seed sprouts, then move the tray or pot under direct sunlight. Coriander requires 5 to 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.

Keep adding water gently whenever to layer soil start drying. But avoid flooding pot with water as it can cause problem.

After 40 to 45 days when coriander plant reaches 20 centimetres high then you can start harvesting. But do not take out complete plant but harvest only upper part & allow them to grow again.
