Spinach is a cool season leafy vegetable that is rich in Vitamin A & B. They are one of the easiest vegetable plant grow and you can also grow them by following these tips.
Cold climate with temperature ranging from 10 to 20 degrees Celsius is good for growing spinach. Avoid growing them in hot climatic conditions.
Well draining soil rich in organic matter is good for growing spinach. Prepare potting mix with 60% normal garden soil + 40% any bulky organic manure.
You can start propgating from seeds in September to November or in February by broadcasting seeds on the soil. Cover with thin layer of potting mix and apply water.
Daily direct bright sunlight for at least 8 hours is necessary for healthy growth of spinach plants. Avoid growing them in low light condition.
Keep the soil evenly moist but avoid overwatering. Apply ater whenever top layer of soil becomes dry. Do not let the soil dry for longer duration.
You can fertilize with one to two handful of leaf compost or dung manure once after every 30 days to promote healthy growth in your spinach plants.
