Easy & Effective Homemade Fertilizers For Plants!

Do you want to avoid spending money on costly fertilizers and prepare your own organic fertilizer, if yes, then keep reading till the end to know how to prepare these homemade fertilizers!

Banana Peel Fertilizer

Instead of throwing away banana peels, you can dry them under direct sunlight for 2 to 3 days, then crush it properly and use them in your flowering plants to boost flowering. 

Onion Peel Fertilizer

Onion peels are good source of potassium which means they also boost flowering. Keep 3 handful of peels in 1 litre water for 48 hours, strain and use. 

Tea Leaf Compost

Tea leaf contains 4% nitrogen, 0.25% potassium and 0.24% phosphorus as well. Dried used tea leaves are perfect  to be used for growing green foliage plants. 

Egg Shells

Egg shells are great source of calcium and you can use them for fertilizing after crushing properly. In tomatoes they are known to prevent Blossom End Rot. 

Coffee Grounds

Coffee grounds are good source of nitrogen and also maintains soil acidity. Sprinkle coffee grounds around plants that love acidic soil and apply water. 

Leaf Compost

Collect all the dead and fallen leaves from the garden and put them in a compost bin and keep it under shade for composting. Leaf compost are good source of nitrogen. 

Aquarium Water

Instead of wasting waste water of fresh water aquarium, you can use them to fertilize your plants. But do not ever use water of salt water aquarium.
