It is expected that global fish prices will increase at a rate of 2.1% over a decade, this is due to current demand trend in the fish market.
Tuna is the most demanded fish in the global market. But local farmers can also focus on fish species that are in high demand in their regional market to earn profits.
According to current trends, it is projected that global fish production will reach to 200 million tons till 2029.
Having a fish farm in a traditional farm has lot of benefits. New technologies such as Bio-floc fish culture has helped in reduction of production cost hence ensure high profit.
Fish waste is a great source of nitrogen for farm crops, hence it helps in not only increasing crop production but it also helps in reducing money spent on fertilizers.
Unlike traditional crops which only grows for a season, fisheries ensures consistent income throughout the year, therefore farmers should focus in its potential.
