Floriculture is a branch of horticulture in which there is emphasis on cultivation of flower crops for gardens, landscaping, and floral industry. 

Beginning 

During the late 19th Century floriculture industry started blooming in United Kingdom. Rose is believed to be oldest cultivated flower crop in the world. 

Vs. Horticulture

Floriculture is only related to flower cultivation while horticulture is a broad field which comprises of vegetable, fruit, nuts, berries, & flower cultivation.

The global market size value of floriculture industry was around US $50.50 Billion between 2017 to 2022. It is increase at 8.1% CAGR.
