Floriculture is a branch of horticulture in which there is emphasis on cultivation of flower crops for gardens, landscaping, and floral industry.
During the late 19th Century floriculture industry started blooming in United Kingdom. Rose is believed to be oldest cultivated flower crop in the world.
Floriculture is only related to flower cultivation while horticulture is a broad field which comprises of vegetable, fruit, nuts, berries, & flower cultivation.

It is estimated that till 2029 floriculture market size will reach up to US $94.17 Billion. Hence for new floriculturists there is a great scope.
Rose, Carnation, Orchids, Lavender, Chrysanthemum, Gerbera, Gladiolus, Orchid, Tulips, Lilies, etc. are most profitable and demanded flower crops in the world.
Mostly cut flowers, cut foliage, bulbs, tuber, rooted cuttings, or dried flowers and leaves are sold in the market.
To become successful in floriculture, establish a greenhouse, cultivate flower crops that are suitable for your region, & has huge demand in local market.
