Profit rates can differ from country to country. In India a farmer can earn around 700 rupees per cattle a day. However, in USA net profit is around  $3 per cwt


In the year 2019, the global dairy farming size was estimated at USD 481.08 billion. From 2020 to 2027 market is expected to grow at 2.5% CAGR.


For ensuring better performance and profit, better management of dairy farm is necessary, hence these points become very important. 

Breed Selection

Before establishing a dairy farm, get to know which dairy breed is most suitable for your region. Acclimatization of breed is very important for performance. 

Farm Setup

Farm should be well managed, clean and hygienic to reduce the risk of diseases. Feeding house and milking houses should be separate. 

Record Keeping

Keeping records of breeding, feeding, milk production, health check ups, deworming, vaccination, young stock, and finance helps a lot in making dairy farm successful.
