Best Fertilizers For Indoor Plants!

Those who love having houseplants in their garden are also worried about selecting best fertilizers to improve growth of indoor plants. Let's know about them one by one. 

Tea Leaf Compost 

Well decomposed tea leaf composed are great source of nitrogen for foliage houseplants. They contain 4% nitrogen & you can add them after every 30 days. 

Leaf Compost 

Leaf compost contains 2% nitrogen, 0.5% phosphorus, & about 2% potassium. You can apply one handful of leaf compost once after every 30 days. 

Vermicompost

Apart from adding nutrients to the soil vermicomost also acts as bio-fertilizers, improves soil aeration, and soil structure. 

Coffee Grounds

Used coffee grounds are rich source of nitrogen that you can apply  as a top dressing after every 15 days. 

Egg Shells

Crushed eggshells are rich source of calcium that is essential for plants. They are slow releasing fertilizer so you can add them twice in a year. 

Banana Peel

Ripe banana peels are good source of potassium and you can add them in flowering indoor plants such as Chrysanthemums, Calla lily, Peace lily, etc. 

Onion Peel

Just like banana peel, onion peels are also great for increasing flowering in houseplants such as Kalanchoe, Hydrangea, Anthurium, etc.
