Introduction
Aster is a beautiful perennial flowering plant that is from Daisy family (Asteracea). There are around 180 species of Aster in the world.
Season
You can grow asters from seed during early spring season or late summer season. They can grow in nearly all USDA zones.
Potting Mix
Prepare potting mix with 40% garden soil + 20+ river sand + 40% organic compost. They love moist sandy loam soil.
Propagation
To propagate aster from seeds, broadcast seeds on in tray filled with potting mix, cover with thin layer & apply water.
Sunlight
You will have to keep your plants at a spot where it can receive 5 to 6 hours of direct bright to indirect sunlight.
Watering
Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy. Make sure your pot has drainage holes at the bottom.
Fertilizers
Once after every 30 days feed with one handful of cow dung manure and one teaspoon bone-meal to enhance blooming.
