Every year Hartalika Teej is celebrated by Indian women to celebrate the divine bond between Goddess Parvati and God Shiva. Women pray for the well-being of their husbands.
In 2023, Hartalika Teej is going to be celebrated on 18th September and here is the list of flowers that you can offer to God Shiva and Goddess Parvati to seek their blessings.
Hibiscus flowers, especially red ones, are offered to Goddess Parvati., they represent feminine energy and are considered auspicious.
Plumeria also known as Champa are known for their fragrant and beautiful blossoms and are considered suitable for offering to Goddess Parvati.
The lotus is a symbol of purity, beauty, and divine grace which makes it an ideal offering to Goddess Parvati to receive her blessings.
Dhatura flowers are offered to Lord Shiva. Their association with Shiva comes from their use in traditional Ayurvedic medicine.
Marigold flowers, especially orange or yellow ones symbolize auspiciousness and purity & are used in the worship of Goddess Parvati.
While Tulsi is often associated with Lord Vishnu, it is also considered sacred to Goddess Parvati. You can use it for worshipping on Teej.
You can offer rose flowers to Goddess Parvati to represent love, devotion and beauty to the divine bond of God Shiva & Goddess Parvati.
Flowers of aparajita are believed to have tantrik powers and you can offer them to Lord Shiva on Teej and every Monday.
