noopener\">\u092c\u0947\u0938\u0947\u0932\u0948\u0938\u0940<\/a><\/strong>. Malabar Spinach is found in <strong>Tropical Asia <\/strong>\u0914\u0930 <strong>Africa<\/strong>. It&#8217;s widely used as a <strong>&#8220;leaf vegetable&#8221;<\/strong>.<strong> This plant is native <\/strong>to the<strong> Indian subcontinent, South East Asia <\/strong>\u0914\u0930 <strong>New Guinea<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Malabar spinach is a<strong> quick-growing soft-stemmed vine, reaching 10 meters long<\/strong>. The thick semi-succulent, heart-shaped leaves have a light flavour and mucilaginous texture. You can grow Malabar spinach very easily in tropical to sub tropical climate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><br><br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Selection_Of_Pot\"><\/span>\u0917\u092e\u0932\u0947 \u0915\u093e \u091a\u092f\u0928<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">If you want to grow in a container then use a rectangular garden container <strong>(3 feet long 2 feet depth one foot broad.) with a good drainage system.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Now place your container near up wall or trellis or fence, where it can receive direct sunlight. Now wet the soil but do not apply over water. Cover the pot with transplant polythene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">It will take 3 to 4 weeks to germinate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">After germination <strong>thin the plants to 6 inches apart when they stand 4 inches height.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sunlight\"><\/span><br><br>\u0938\u0942\u0930\u091c \u0915\u0940 \u0930\u094b\u0936\u0928\u0940<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">It requires direct sunlight of<strong> at least six to eight hours.<\/strong> It is advisable to keep the pot in partial shade in the afternoon in tropical areas. Adequate amount of sunlight ensures good growth of the plant.<br><br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Watering\"><\/span>\u092a\u093e\u0928\u0940<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Water Malabar spinach pot frequently to keep the soil evenly moist.\u00a0Water plants around the base. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Malabar spinach <strong>requires consistent moisture<\/strong>, so water deeply and keep the soil around your plants covered with a <strong>2-inch layer of mulch<\/strong> to minimize evaporation.<br><br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fertilizers\"><\/span>\u0916\u093e\u0926<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Feed with<strong> NPK (10:10:10) \u00bd teaspoon <\/strong>in every<strong> 15 days<\/strong>.<strong> You can also apply Vermicompost <\/strong>\u0914\u0930 <strong>cow dung manure<\/strong> to the plant in adequate quantity to produce thick big fleshy leaves.<br><br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pests_Diseases\"><\/span>\u0915\u0940\u091f \u0914\u0930 \u0930\u094b\u0917<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Any small water-soaked spots on leaves can enlarge and turn tan or brown in colour with papery mix texture.
