Oxalis triangularis, commonly known as False shamrock is a perennial shade loving plant which is native to Southern America. Follow these tips to grow & care for this plant.
They can tolerate moderate to cool climatic conditions. Temperature ranging from 15 to 27 degrees Celsius is ideal for growing Oxalis triangularis plant.
You can grow them in well draining soil. Prepare potting mix with 40% soil + 30% compost + 20% river sand + 10% perlite.
You can keep this beautiful purple coloured plant in bright indirect to direct sunlight for promoting good growth in the plant.
Let the soil dry between waterings. Avoid waterlogging in the pot. Apply water when top layer of the soil seems completely dry.
Once after every 30 days from spring to summer season, fertilize your Oxalis plant with a handful of leaf compost + one teaspoon bonemeal to promote foliage growth & flowering.
You can propagate Oxalis plant by runners or bulbs. Separate bulbs from the main plant and shift them to a new pot during dormant season.
