If you want to bring an alluring foliage indoor plant that can also have qualities to purify air then you should bring Aglaonema or Chinese Evergreen in your indoor garden.

जलवायु

In tropical to sub-tropical climate this houseplant grows very well. USDA zones 10 and 11 are good for growing Aglaonema.

Soil & Potting Mix

Well drained, slightly acidic loamy soil is good. Prepare potting mix with 40% soil + 20% river sand + 20% cocopeat + 20% organic manure.

सूरज की रोशनी

Daily bright indirect sunlight for 6 hours at least is good. But green aglaonema can also grow in low light condition.

पानी

Keep the soil evenly moist but avoid waterlogging condition. Water only when top layer of soil becomes dry.  Misting with water on hot dry days is useful.

खाद

Once after every 60 days apply one to two handful of dung manure or tea leaf compost from April to September. Do not fertilize in winters.

रिपोटिंग

Aglaonema doesn't grow very fast, hence you can repot once after every 3 years to a larger pot. If roots have started coming out from drainage holes, then repot.

विषाक्तता

They are moderately toxic hence can cause problems when ingested. Therefore keep them out of reach from kids and pets.
