Apple is one of the most profitable fruit crops in the world. The global fresh apple market size is estimated at US $ 99.06 billion and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 2%.
India is the fifth largest apple-producing country in the world. In 2022, around 2,316,000 tonnes of apple was produced in India. Here are the top apple-producing states in India.
Telangana is the sixth largest apple-producing state in India. Around 80 tonnes of apple was produced in Telangana from 2021-2022.
Nagaland is the fifth largest apple producing state in India. It contributes about 0.07% of the total apple production which is around 1,800 tonnes of apple.
Arunachal Pradesh is the fourth largest apple producing state in India. It contributes about 0.30% of the total apple production which is around 7,340 tonnes of apple.
Uttarakhand is the third largest apple producing state in India. It contributes about 2.66% of the total apple production which is around 64,880 tonnes of apple.
Himachal Pradesh is the second largest apple producing state in India. It contributes about 26.42% of the total apple production which is around 643,850 tonnes of apple.
Jammu & Kashmir is the largest apple producing state in India. It contributes about 70.54% of the total apple production which is around 1,719,420 tonnes of apple.
