Due to practicing no-dig gardening, the chance of pests & diseases, weeds growth, fertilizers & watering requirements reduces. It helps to keep soil healthy.
To practice no dig gardening, you have to cut all the weeds from the base instead of pulling them out. And add a layer of used newspapaer on the ground.
To practice no dig gardening, you have to cut all the weeds from the base instead of pulling them out. And add a layer of used newspapaer or dried leaves on the ground.
Above the first layer, you need to add kitchen waste such as used vegetable peels of potatoes, bananas, onions, pomegranates etc.
Above the second layer, you need to add a layer of dung manure, leaf compost or any bulky organic manure. Then add a layer of straw mulch & then again manure.
Then add a final layer of straw mulch. To plant a seedling, make 10 centimeters deep wells in the topmost layer, fill the well with compost & plant them.
Using this method repeatedly will make plenty of organic matter available for your plants in every season. Moreover, the ground soil is not disturbed.
